AMIT MAHAJAN, is an Associate Partner in the Trademark & Design team at L. S. Davar & Co. He is an Experienced IP Professional with a history of working in some of the premier IPR firms of India over a period of 19 years. He is skilled in Intellectual Property, Trademark Protection, Brand creation, IP Contentious and Disputes, Advisory and Strategy.

He has worked on trademark portfolios of international and Indian clients comprising numerous Fortune 500 companies across various sectors including Pharmaceuticals, Electronics, Aviation, Energy, FMCG, Fashion and Apparel, Beauty and Cosmetics, Media, Chemicals, Confectionery, Automobiles and Gaming. He has extensive experience of managing and supervising teams of Associates, Senior Associates, Managing Associates and Paralegals. He renders advice to clients on Trademark matters and other IP issues including brand selection, rebranding, advising on the registrability and risks, rendering advice in opposition, cancellation and prosecution proceedings, advising on strategies for best protection of the IP rights of clients in India and internationally, advising on legal issues relating to advertisement campaigns. Amit also has extensive experience of fling and prosecuting Trademark oppositions and cancellations before the Trademarks Offices of India, fling review petitions before the Trademarks Office, cease and desist work, entering into negotiations for dispute resolution as well as co-existence and settlement agreements. He also has vast experience of arguing trademark matters before the Trademarks Office and has also argued before the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB). He has also attended International IP conferences including the INTA Annual Conference, APAA and various National conferences and IP events over the years. He has also given presentations on the need for trademark protection at forums including American Centre. Amit is also a Gold Medal recipient for outstanding academic performance in his law course.
