Experience: 10+ years of Experience with reputed law firms in India in a similar position. 

Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Partner-Designate in our Trademark & Design Department. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in client-facing responsibilities, team leadership, and end-to-end management of trademark & Design matters—from filing and prosecution to opposition proceedings. Understanding of trademark & design litigation will be considered an added advantage. 

Key Responsibilities
- Client Management & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key domestic and international clients.
- Provide strategic advice on trademark & design filing, prosecution, oppositions, and portfolio management.
- Maintain consistent communication, deliver timely updates, and ensure superior client service.
- Trademark & Design Filing, Prosecution & Oppositions
- Manage the entire trademark & design lifecycle including searches, filing, examination, responses, hearings, oppositions, cancellations, and rectifications.
- Review and finalize drafts prepared by the team to ensure accuracy, legal soundness, and compliance.
- Develop and oversee prosecution strategies tailored to client requirements. 

Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and guide the trademark & design team to ensure timely and high-quality output.
- Supervise workflows, allocate assignments, and support team members in complex matters.
- Conduct internal training sessions to strengthen team skills and knowledge.
- Litigation Support (Added Advantage)
- Assist with trademark & design litigation strategy including infringement, passing-off, and enforcement matters.
- Coordinate with the litigation team on case preparation, documentation, and client advisory. 

Required Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of Indian trademark & design laws, rules, and procedures.
- Strong experience handling trademark & design filing, prosecution, hearings, and opposition proceedings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership qualities with proven ability to manage and mentor teams.
- Strong client-handling skills with a proactive and solutions-driven approach.
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently while collaborating effectively with teams.
